Dr. Florian Kongoli holds 3 degrees: a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science/University of Montreal, Canada and a Doctor of Science Degree/Tohoku University, Japan. Since 1996 he is CEO of FLOGEN Technologies Inc.,(www.flogen.com) a Sustainable High Tech applied research institute
incorporated in Canada and USA that today have offices and representations in more than 15 Countries around the the world while carrying out high tech projects in more than 40 countries.

Since 2007 he is Chairman of FLOGEN STAR OUTREACH (www.flogen.org), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to (1) achieving sustainability through science and technology, (2) raising the profile of science and engineering in the society and (3) properly honoring scientists and engineers.

Since 2003 Dr Kongoli has been President of the Organizing Committee of the Sustainable Industrial Processing Summits (SIPS) held every year in several countries around the world with an average participation of 500 authors from academia, industry, government and the entrepreneurship world representing an average of 80 countries.

Dr Kongoli has about 25 years of rich scientific and applied technology experience through direct involvement in numerous invited engagements in all continents. He has managed, involved, or actively participated in about 200 projects, 40 types of reactors, 10 industries, in 45 countries and in 6 continents. Dr. Kongoli has published 113 books and more than 200 scientific articles. He has delivered in numerous countries around the world about 220 plenary, keynote and invited presentations as well as articles, technical reports and research presentations. He has served in many leadership positions in national and international organizations and in many Professional Award Councils such as the Industrial Achievement Award Committee of International Federation of Automatic Control. He is Editorial Board member of several International Journals.

He is an elected Honorary Member of the Lorraine Academy of Sciences and Elected Member of Euro Mediterranean Academy of Arts and Sciences. He was awarded in 2017 the title "The Environmental Tech CEO of the year 2017" by CEO-Monthly UK magazine. He was awarded Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his contribution toward sustainable development through FLOGEN Sustainability Framework by Tomas Bata University in Zlin (Czech Republic)/Faculty of Applied Informatics. He is honorary Citizen of Rio de Janeiro and Laureate of Gold Medal of the City of Nancy, France. In 2022 he was honored by the Congressman elect of Rio de Janeiro State, Alan Lopes, who will propose to the State Congress to adopt FLOGEN Sustainability Framework developed by Dr. Florian Kongoli in the state law for evaluating any proposed public or private project in the state. Also, in 2022 he was invited to give the Opening Sustainability Plenary Lecture at the United Nation Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, on 11 February 2022 about FLOGEN Sustainability Framework at the International Year of Glass 2022.

He has participated in business and government delegations in numerous countries accompanying Prime Ministers, Ministers and other government officials.

Dr. Toshikazu Yoshikawa, 72, was educated at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Kyoto, Japan. Graduated in 1973, Licensed Medical Doctor (M.D.) at 1973, and Dr. Medicine (Ph.D.) in 1983. After acting as President of the Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, he is now President of Louis Pasteur Center for Medical Research, President of Japan Anti-Aging Foundation, Emeritus Professor, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Emeritus President of the Society for Free Radical Research (SFRR) Japan, and Emeritus President of Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Specialized in medicine, he has worked in various fields such as gastroenterology, free radical science, preventive medicine, food nutrition, disease biomarkers, genomics, proteomics, and lipidomics.

Having started free radical and reactive oxygen species (ROS) research at a young, he has been an internationally respected authority of free radical research. Free radicals and ROS are high reactive molecules known to involve in over 150 diseases. Since free radicals and ROS are keys to preventing and treatment of diseases, he has studied the relationship between free radicals and those various diseases including cancer, intestinal and other inflammatory diseases, diabetes, dementia, male fertility, and so on. By accumulating countless studies that reveal the close relationship of free radicals and ROS to health and longevity, his total publications are over 1200, and primary research publications are over 500, cumulating above 20000 citations. In collaboration with many prominent researchers around the world, the numbers are still growing today. He has also written numerous books for both masses and professionals about free radicals, preventive medicine, antiaging, and so on. As an editor, he has a carrier as editor-in-chief in “Pathophysiology”, an official Journal of the International Society for Pathophysiology, and “Journal of Clinical Biochemistry and Nutrition”, an official Journal of the Society for Free Radical Research Japan.

Dr. Yoshikawa’s contributions to the free radical study are not limited to publishing papers. He has founded many associations such as Society for Free Radical Research Japan, which is the Japanese branch of the worldwide Society for Free Radical Research International. He was first President of the SFRR International as Japanese, leading free radical research. His carrier on council members varies such as President of the Japanese Society of Lipid Peroxide and Free Radical Research, SFRR International, President of the Japanese Society of Lipid Peroxide and Free Radical Research, President of the Japanese Society of Functional Water, and President of Internationalization of Medical Services Association.

Today, as interest in the importance of free radicals is growing, his researches will receive more attention.

Dr. Shigeru Hirano received his M.D. at Kyoto University in 1990 and began his residency at Kyoto University Hospital. Following his residency, he became a clinical staff at Tenri Hospital until 1994 and attended the Graduate School of Medicine at Kyoto University once again to receive his Ph.D. with a focus on Otolaryngology-Head and neck surgery.

In 1998, he began his career as an assistant professor at Kyoto University while also contributing to research as a research fellow at the University of California and the University of Wisconsin. After his successive role as an assistant professor, in 2005, he received the title of Associate Professor at Kyoto University.

In 2015, due to his hard work as an associate professor, he became the chair of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head Neck Surgery at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine.

From 2013 to 2021, Davis Joseph received 18 honors, awards, and distinctions from various Canadian institutions for his academic performance and service to his community. These institutions include the "Collège Notre-Dame," "Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf" (where he received a scholarship of excellence and graduated with a diploma in Health Sciences), the Montreal Geriatric Institution (for his hospital service), the Department of Oncology of the Jewish General Hospital (where he was selected as a student observer), the University of Montreal and the University of Waterloo.

Davis Joseph has achieved success in every field he has participated in. In fact, through his rigorous academic discipline, Davis has distinguished himself in all the educational fields he has studied, receiving merits and distinctions in French, English (twice), Mathematics (twice), natural and Social Sciences (twice), as well as a merit award for his academic results in all fields. He was also acknowledged for his regular contributions to his music department and to Expo- Sciences Hydro-Québec. He was elected class representative in his first year of University. He was a member of the executive council of his student association at the faculty of medicine at the University of Montreal.

His passion for Medical research led him to enroll in Biochemistry. He obtained a bachelor's degree at Concordia University in 2023 and enrolled at McGill University to conduct fundamental research on the translational control of proteins. During his study at McGill, he discovered the cause and the fundamental mechanism of 4E-BP2 deamidation in the nervous system, a problem that the experts in the field could not solve for 20 years. Davis Joseph's discovery paves the way to developing effective treatments against neurodegenerative diseases.

Davis Joseph regularly volunteers at various events. He is dedicated to serving his community and helping whenever possible. His positive attitude and determination make him an excellent student body representative in whatever event he signs up for.

Davis Joseph enjoys playing piano, Jazz, the bassoon, swimming, and basketball.

Joao Ricardo Ribas Júnior, MD, 55, is born in the city of Ponta Grossa, in the Southern Part of Brazil, on Christmas, 1964.

At an early age, he developed a strong interest in people and, because of that, he was encouraged by the family to go to Medical School. And he enrolled at the Federal University of his home state, Parana, where he graduated.

Soon after graduation, he decided to take a sabbatical period from Medicine and went to Europe, where he met a French Nurse that had joined - and introduced him to Doctors without Borders. He then traveled to a Cambodian Refugee Camp in Thailand, where he had the first direct contact with the Non-Governmental Organization.

He then found a meaning for his desire of helping the needy. He went back to Brazil to get a specialty in Tropical Diseases, in order to join the international Nobel-Prize-Winner institution. He was first assigned to serve in Angola, Africa. At that time, there was a Civil War going on, and he faced the risks of the domestic conflict and that made him start thinking about what he could do to improve people´s quality of life.

Once again he went back to Brazil for a new objective: becoming a surgeon. He got his Trauma training in Rio de Janeiro, the only city in the world that is not at war where organized crime uses Heavy Caliber Military Rifles to control Drug Operations.

He fell in love with the Marvelous City. He decided to dedicate his professional life to helping the least privileged in his own country.

And he realized that as a surgeon he could only help a certain number of people, but in Public Office, he would exponentiate the positive effect on the population. And he went into public life to keep saving lives.

For more than ten years, he has served as City Councillor in the City of Rio de Janeiro and has also held Executive Offices as Secretary of State for Human Rights in the State of Rio de Janeiro and Assistant Secretary of Health in São João do Meriti, a major city in Greater Rio.

He has improved a great deal the life of millions of people with laws and programs focused on Public Health, Sustainability, Animal Protection, and LGBT issues.
